The Pacific City Arts Association
(PCAA) presents a vocal recital featuring Pacific City resident and mezzo-soprano Kathleen Serven on Friday,
February 11, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. Serven currently serves as the director of music at Nestucca Valley High School.
Friends Jason Taylor from Portland and Jerilee Henderson, Tillamook High School’s choir director, will join
Serven for the evening’s performance. Pacific City’s own accomplished pianist, Fran Madachy, accompanies
the singers. The recital features a variety of vocal classics, including a Baroque solo and two duets with
baritone Taylor and solos from Carmina Burana, which Serven performed at Carnegie Hall as a chorus member.
The program also showcases Serven and soprano Henderson in a comic duet by Rossini. Audiences won’t want
to miss Serven’s rendition of “Think of Me” from Phantom of the Opera.
Kathleen Serven and Friends will be presented at the
Nestucca Valley Presbyterian Church
