Pacific City Dory Days 2010
The 51st Annual Dory Days committee is hard at work planning this year’s
fun filled festival. The Dorymen’s Association selected the theme of
51 years & reeling in the fun and there are three nominees for
this year’s Grand Marshall. Dory Days celebrates the rich history
of the Dory Fleet that launch off the beach at Pacific City, Oregon.
The modern Dory Fleet of today has evolved from boats that went to
sea from Cape Kiwanda more than 100 years ago. There's no other
marine fishery exactly like this anywhere in the world.
We celebrate this rich history with a Parade, Marine Fair and Fish Fry
(enjoy Dory caught fish!) at Cape Kiwanda, and an Artisan Fair in the
downtown area.
Come join us July 16, 17, & 18 2010 and you will be reeling in the fun!
The committee is looking for volunteers to help make this celebration a
success, below is a list of the committee chairpersons;
